Okay, like many people who work a little too much my desk resembles a disaster area, so desk space is limited. This device is perfect for me. It gave me the light I need and an iPod speaker to listen to at work.
Likewise space on my kitchen counter is limited as well. So here again it was perfect. I could listen to my audiobooks as I cook dinner.
I have to admit part of my enthusiasm for this device is I picked it up on sale for $35. Considering the fact it does not actually link to you computer in a USB or FIREWIRE manner to share files or update your iPod, but can only act as a speaker, a lower price point seems a more appropriate price point.

This is what you call a small all in one package. You get a Lamp,iPod Speaker,iPod Charger all in 1.
Dont let the size fool you...The sound on this item is great!!

The sound is great for a bedroom or office. Don't expect top-line stereo sound, but this is good one room.
My only problem is with the light arm. The flex line is not very strong. It takes some trial and error adjustment to make the light stay up straight. Wish it was stronger.

Purchased this for daughter to use in a college dorm. Sound quality is about what you'd expect for the price, not bad but not concert hall. Similar unit available for sale at Target retail stores would not accept her 4th generation Ipod, this unit works fine with it. The blue inner lamp shade is almost opaque, so no glare.
