Great sound for little package Feb 05, 2008
By HG Nitro This is a great product. The sound is surprisingly good for the size and having the remote to control the ipod is very useful, since you can't from the base. Only sound, power, and light on/off control is on the lamp itself. The bass enhancement is a one-press button that does very little, but that's to be expected from a unit this small.(5watts total output) The base support is solid unlike the cheaper iHL10, but it came out of the box a little loose, so I had to tighten the large flathead screw to keep the shaft in the position I preferred. (problem easily solved) Plus, you can also adjust the head to point in any position as well. The halogen bulb shines bright & much better than my traditional lamp.
Lowes had these on clearance with their XMAS items, so I picked it up for $25.00 new! Frankly, I think it's too spendy at $100+ for what you get. With all of its coolness, full controls on the base would have been nice along with a spot to stash the controller, and because of the high street price I'm giving it 4 stars.

Ihome Lamp Rocks!!!!! Dec 05, 2007
By Lawrence Bibi
"Music Man"
I just got this lamp as a gift and the sound quality is great! It free's up space on my desk and I use it to play music from my ipod as well as my computer via the aux input in the back of the lamp. The romote control works well and is a great feature.
Two thumbs up!

GOOD LAMP Aug 28, 2009
By K. Bohannon

I have had my lamp for almost two years now and it has served me wonderfully as a bedside lamp. The only problem I have recently had is that the bulb burned out and I have been unable to find the correct size replacement. When the bulb burns out, your ipod wont play, so the lamp becomes useless. I looked at Lowes, where I bought the lamp, but they did not have the correct size per the manual.....anyone else have this problem and where do I find the replacement bulbs????

Great product but not for open office environments Jul 14, 2009
By Tangpo This is a great product with one major weakness. The controls are not sensitive enough to keep the volume to a reasonably low level. This is fine for most home applications but if you want to put it on your cubicle desk in an open office, it will definitely bother your neighbors. I work in a fairly loud office but even at the lowest possible volume, I can hear it clearly from over 20 feet away. Adjusting the volume our loudness level on your iPod doesn't make any difference. Unless everyone in your office likes the same music you do this can be a problem.
That being said the sound on this unit is great, the controls are easy to use, the light works very well, and the remote is wonderful.

Great sound output Jun 10, 2009
By Tracy Vest The iHome desk lamp/iPod docking station has surprisingly good sound for such compact speakers (much better than the ones in my computer). I have this set up in my office at work and have the added bonus of a halogen light too, which comes in handy for task lighting. Also included is a small remote that allows you to control the iPod as well as the light. It fits all size iPods - mine is a classic and fits right in place, but if you have a nano or other size, there are inserts to allow them to fit in place.
With a sleek and contemporary design, it is a bit costly at over $100 but I managed to find it at a discount store for $40, making it an even sweeter deal.
