Best Fan Ever Jun 08, 2010
I purchased this fan to cool a small windowless office. It has made such an impact on cooling this space. It is worth every penny!

This is an awesome fan! I bought this fan to circulate the air in a poorly ventilated room, and it more than exceeded my expectations!
It is a very powerful, and well built fan.
For someone looking to direct air to a particular spot, this is the fan!
The only downside would be if you needed a wide dispersion of air, witch this fan does not provide. Its a little loud. Half as loud as a full size fan, but still quieter than my computer at full tilt!

Hotflash cure!!! Sep 10, 2007
My wife suffers from hotflashes and finding a fan that had a concentrated airstream and was not so loud that it kept us awake has been a challenge. I first saw the Vornado Clamp-on Air Circulator(fan) in a gardening catalog as the solution for stagnant air in greenhouses. In researching the Vornado I found that Amazon carried them, so I ordered one, and upon receiving it looked for an appropriate place to mount it, I finally decided to clamp it to our closets sliding door. One of my concerns was that the clamp might not hold securely or that vibrations would resonate through whatever it was clamped. I needn't have worried the clamp is rubber padded and quite strong and didn't budge during operation. I turned it on to the high setting and was suprised by the strength of the airstream, it was a little loud so I tried the low setting and the noise level dropped considerably though the airstream did not diminish very much and is adequate for keeping my wife cool and letting me sleep without earplugs. We also travel and our Vornado goes with us we just clamp it to the back of the desk chair every hotel room has and move it next to the bed and let the air blow. The Vornado Air Circulator is well made, easy to clean, and I expect it to give many years of service. I would not hesitate to recommend the Vornado Air Circulators to anyone who needs to move air in a concentrated stream and the clamp on feature lets you mount it where you need it. I also use it in the garage and other rooms in the house anytime we need to get the air moving. The only thing I would change is to give the clamp another inch or so of clamping range, depth and width, to be able to attach to a wider range of objects. Other than that, I would not change anything, even the yellow color though they do make one in dark grey or black.
