Magz-X Jan 05, 2011
By James W. Cornwell In comparison with GeoMag or Magnetix, Magz have by far the weakest magnets, and the material quality is inferior as well. Don't get me wrong, these may be fun, but your money would be better spent on one of the other products. They have a different scale as well. I won't return them, I would like to end up owning some of each of them to find out just which ones are best. To this point GeoMag are the strongest, but the difference between them and Magnetix are not enough to worry about, but Magz may not even have half the magnet strength as the other two. If you want one of each brand, give this a try, if you are looking for a great product, GeoMag or Magnetix will be a better purchase.
Edit:
GeoMag rods will hold up to 6 consecutive steel balls
Magnetix will hold up to 4 consecutive steel balls
Magz will hold 3 consecutive steel balls

I bought this for my 10 year old nephew for Christmas and he absolutely loved it! It was the first toy he played with and he is still enjoying it.

Let it have some more pieces Dec 28, 2007
By Alper Tunga Derin I ordered this toy in order that my 7 years old son could improve his imaginagation. I think that this toy succeds in this mission. The only thing that is unfavorable is that it has not enough pieces. you have to order two or more to build sensible objects.

Fun for adults too! Jun 30, 2010
By Eric Aderhold There are so many different structures that can be made with this kit. The X-shaped pieces allow you to construct squares and cubes, which is not as easy with magnetic construction kits that only include straight magnets. The magnets in this set are stronger than in some similar sets I've tried that were made by other companies. This strength allows you to create taller structures without any fear of collapse. It would be nice if the set came with more pieces, but it looks like this company makes several other sets that are compatible with this one and would complement it well. I definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys building things, kids or adults alike!

My students LOVE these!! Jun 02, 2008

I am a teacher and I bought these for my students. They LOVE them. They encourage them to be creative and inventive. I will buy more sets in the future. The only thing is you have to buy quite a few sets to be able to make bigger items. I just buy a few at a time and it's not too expensive.
