good value for what it is Dec 02, 2009 I recently purchased this item refurbished for $19, with free shipping. It is compact, comes with a nice little case that has a pocket for the AC adapter, and it looks quite attractive, not cheap. When compared to other small speaker systems, the sound is louder and higher quality than I have heard before. It does not have a booming bass, but the bass can be heard, and the mid and high tones are very good, even at full volume. It is able to generate enough sound to fill a cubicle with decent-quality music. It is extremely lightweight - I can stick it in my purse and not notice it's there. I bought it to take to small-group meetings where I'd like to play an audio recording without dragging a boombox. It is perfect for that. I runs on two AA batteries or can be plugged in. Your MP3 player connects to it through the earphone jack, which can be threaded up through the bottom of the player so the cord is hidden. My Sansa player sits sort of awkwardly in the little shelf opening. It does not recharge your player. If I had payed the $79 list price, I would be disappointed with this, but I paid less than 20 bucks, so it is a good value for the money.

Good Portable Product Sep 02, 2009 This sound bar has great sound for the size. It says batteries last 10 hours, I am on my 14th hour at the beach on the same batteries!
Does what it needs to! Jul 17, 2009 I was given this as a gift. My Husband knew I needed a portable speaker system for my Sandisk Sansa Mp3 player to use in the bathroom, outside, or around the house if needed. It isnt a Dock for the Mp3 player, your device wont sit snug in the middle, it hooks up via a connector to your Mp3 player and there is a place for it to sit. Its nice looking, compact and sleek, it comes with alot of different sizes of "docks" for whatever MP3 player you have and those all have to go somewhere if you arent using them. It also comes with a carrying case, which the plug fits nicely in and its sturdy material.
My one wish is that it would be louder, there isnt much OOOMPH to its speakers so if you take it with you outside make sure its not somewhere loud, but this wasnt meant to be used as a stand alone speaker system for the beach, it would be better to get a Portable CD player, or another system that has bigger speakers!
Worth The Buy-in Jun 12, 2009 As Sansa Fuze users, we found limited choices for a decent, portable speaker system. The MM32 unit met our basic criteria-ac/battery powered; compact size; able to cradle our Fuze.
Being objective, we rate the MM32 at 3.5 stars (not 3), as the fidelty is good (we listen to everything from modern rock to opera, to 20's jazz); the ready ability to switch from ac to battery power; and yes, with the included inserts, the Fuze cradles in an esthetically acceptable manner. Other positives include battery life; we're into 14 hours on one set of AA's.
There are some negative aspects to the MM32 unit. Maximum volume probably won't rock the neighborhood (and there is no indicator for volume level); as noted, bass response is limited; and the attached stereo plug tends to be a hassle.
Nevertheless, we're happy with the unit, and would buy one again. It has proven itself already on camping trips, yardwork and barbecues. Ease of use, the aforementioned fidelity, and extended battery life add up to make this a perfectly acceptable unit. . . if one understands that it is less than perfect.
