Excellent desktop fan Jun 25, 2004
By Kelnar I picked up one of these fans for use in my office since I work in a room with various computers, and even with the AC on, it can get quite hot in there. This relatively compact unit doesn't take up that much room on your desk (about the same amount of space your average desk lamp would take up). It also has a nice oscillation feature, as well as a directional nozzle built into the upper half that can be used independently of the oscillation. Overall a nice fan and at a good price.
An update to this review: After four years of daily use (Monday through Friday, 9 to 5) this fan has finally gone to meet its maker. So, keeping that in mind, I would most definitely recommend this fan.

Really bad product Apr 11, 2006
By R. Johnson I am on my third fan of this model. I bought it retail. It never has oscillated properly...of late not at all. This is a really poorly designed and/or built product. I will probably never buy another Lasko fan because of this experience.

Looks cute, bad quality! Feb 24, 2006
By cafecol I bought this fan around Christmas because it looked cute and it's a good brand, but it didn't oscillate properly (I didn't buy through amazon). I exchanged it for another one, which didn't oscillate at all. In spite of those experiences, I still tried a third fan, which I got today. This one oscillates well, but it doesn't blow at all!!!! Unbelievable. It'll be returned to the store immediately. If there were the option of giving this product zero stars, I would. I do NOT recommend this Lasko fan.

Poor quality and noisy Jun 15, 2007
By GeekPriest Bought this fan to help with cooling a kitchen work area. It has a nice small footprint (handy when placed on a counter), and is short enough to be unobtrusive. The problem is that the fan blower alone is somewhat noisy on anything but the lowest setting. Add to that an oscillation system that began making noise about 30 days after purchase. The thing now clicks, grumbles, and rumbles as it slowly churns its way through each oscillation pass. It's extremely loud and intrusive. I'd send it back to Lasko, but the warranty service charges and shipping make that a money-losing proposition.
For now, I run it only as a non-oscillating fan, and am looking for a replacement. Your best bet: Don't Buy This Fan.

I found nothing wrong with this fan! Jul 17, 2006
By Tiffany I bought one of these fans and liked it so much I went back and got another one. I've had them now for close to 2 years. One is in the bath room and runs all the time. It seems to just now be wearing out. However, I do run it ALL the time. All the speeds work, the oscillation works and they both are fine. There is a little bit of noise when it gets to the end of the oscillation cycle, but it's not that serious and is expected with any little oscillation fan. When the one in my bath room finally dies, I WILL buy another one from Lasko if they still have them.
I have 2 other Tower fans from Lasko that work great. I did have to call the company on one of the tower fans, but they took care of it (sent me a replacement all postage paid) and provided such good customer services that I have become a loyal customer.
