I bought one of these to hang near my kitchen window many years ago from a local hardware store. Eventually it died and I desperately wanted to replace it. I looked and looked and looked everywhere locally, with no luck. Then decided to check Amazon. Lo and behold, there it was! No hesitation in making the purchase, which now hangs in my kitchen window, replacing the old "dead" twinkling sphere! I love turning it on early in the morning before the sun is up. Really kick starts my day! The twinkling effect is really cool. I have another of these in our bedroom, but it has multi-colored lights. Love that one, also, and am afraid if it wears out, I may not be able to replace it. You can't go wrong buying this adorable, glittering ball!
