Excuse Me While I Wag: A Dilbert Book (Dilbert Books (Paperback Andrews McMeel))

Cubicle-dwelling business people the world over have been knowingly nodding, faithfully push-pinning their favorite strips to their cube walls, and--most of all--belly laughing out loud ever since Dilbert first arrived on the scene. In this collection, Excuse Me While I Wag, Dilbert and his look-alike dog, Dogbert, once again provide comic relief to anyone who has ever had to inhabit a cubicle, endure an "initiative of the week," or simply work in an office that has, on occasion, caused them to pull out large clumps of their hair. Scott Adams' dead-on humor in Excuse Me While I Wag is sure to satisfy the hordes of fans worldwide who avidly follow the misadventures of Dilbert, Dogbert, Catbert, Ratbert, the pointy-haired boss, and the rest of the cast of characters in Dilbert's world--a world that's eerily like the one we work in daily.

4Par for the course.  Jun 02, 2003
By James Yanni
All Dilbert books are funny. This one is no exception.

Some Dilbert books are funnier than others. This one is pretty much a mid-range Dilbert book; it was definitely better than some, but I didn't find myself rolling on the floor laughing as I sometimes do with some others. (Unless, of course, I'm just getting jaded, which is possible; after seventeen books, the style of humor is no longer as startling as it once was.)

5Cross-Populated? Excuse Me While I Wag...  Feb 15, 2002
By George Buttner "Agent0042"
Hi, I'm Dogbert, and I'll be reviewing this book for you.

"Wouldn't that be like paying a burglar to guard my house?"

Excuse me while I wag. Anyway, if you don't believe that this is a good book, then perhaps I can convince you with some impressive words, "Syncrhonized incremental digital integrated dynamic e-commerce space."

As for cross-population, many of the strips in "Treasury of Sunday Strips" are in this book, but there's still enough stuff not in other books to make this book worthwhile. Read over the sample pages, or just take my advice. After all, (hypnotic tone) I'm not self-interested, I'm not self-interested...

5More Great Humor  Apr 17, 2001
By AstroNerdBoy "AstroNerdBoy"
This book is the smaller 128 page (no color) book which contains strips from 07/26/99 to 04/30/00. It contains Scott Adam's usual brand of sarcasm, work-place humor, computer nerd humor, etc. Certainly a fine addition to your Dilbert collection.

4Laughing hysterically with Scott Adams  Jan 14, 2011
By Vincent Esposito
I have several Dilbert books by the corportate iconoclast Scott Adams, they're all hysterically funny, I've never read such
consistently laugh-out-loud material, my wife just sits, or lies there in amazement (they're great to read before you go to
sleep) as I make various laugh sounds. My goal is to someday own all of Scott Adams books, the guy's a comedic genius.

5Well worth your wage-slave dollars  Mar 18, 2006
By M. Hart "paxdominivobiscum"
Laugh-out-loud funny and insightful ... sometimes a bit TOO insightful --to a scary degree-- on the joys of a small, fairly pointless, cubicle existence.

This Dilbert book is well worth every hard-earned wage-slave penny; it is quite reasonably priced. Also, this Dilbert book makes an excellent, *fun gift* between coworkers & friends.
